OPERATIONS COORDINATOR
Telecom Field Operations | Durham, NC | Full Time | On Site

The Opportunity

Infinity Communications supports telecommunications networks through generator service, field maintenance, and emergency response. We are looking for an Operations Coordinator in our Durham office to keep service tickets, closeouts, and work records accurate and current. You will work with Operations managers and field teams, follow up on missing information, and help keep customer commitments on track.

What You Will Do

- Enter new assignments and completed field work into internal trackers, and keep job and asset information current.
- Update Gentrac, OneLink, customer portals, and other systems with accurate job details, milestones, and ticket status.
- Complete preventative maintenance and customer ticket closeouts, checking that required information and supporting documents are included.
- Follow up with field employees and managers on missing information, discrepancies, and incomplete closeout packages.
- Monitor open tickets and processing deadlines, raise delays early, and help the team meet customer commitments.
- Share clear status updates and coordinate with Operations managers, field teams, project teams, and other departments.
- After training, participate in a rotating five-day on-call assignment, keeping in contact with crews still working and serving as the point of contact for deployments.

What We Are Looking For

- High school diploma or equivalent and experience in operations coordination, project administration, ticket management, data entry, or similar work.
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills, attention to detail, and comfort working accurately across multiple systems.
- The ability to manage competing priorities, follow procedures, meet deadlines, and communicate clearly with field and office teams.
- Experience in telecommunications, generator service, field service, maintenance, or related operations is preferred.

What Success Looks Like

- Tickets, trackers, and customer systems show accurate, current work status and supporting information.
- Closeouts are completed on time, with missing documentation identified and followed through to resolution.
- Operations leaders and field teams receive timely updates and can count on open items being tracked and escalated when needed.

Schedule and Location

Durham, North Carolina. The regular schedule is 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. After training, the role includes a five-day on-call assignment approximately every four to five weeks, with coverage from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.
