Overview Shift’s Available: Days Employment Type: Full-time Hours: 8-hour - 7:00a - 3:30p Location: Riverview Regional Medical Center- Gadsden, AL We are seeking an Environmental Services Technician , also referred to asaEVSTech orHospital Housekeeper.The EVS Techensures a safe and healthy environment by cleaning and disinfecting patient rooms, operating rooms, andcommon areasto prevent infection.The EVS Tech willhandle waste disposal, restock supplies,maintainfloors and surfaces, and respond to urgent cleaning needs. Responsibilities Clean and disinfect patient rooms, operating rooms, andcommon areasto prevent the spread of infections Properly disposing of medical and hazardous waste according to hospital protocols Restock supplies like gloves, masks, and cleaning materials in various hospital areas Clean andmaintainfloors, restrooms, and other surfaces using specialized equipment and chemicals Respond to urgent cleaning needs such as spills or contamination incidents and communicate promptly using phone, handheld radios, pagers, and other devices Maintaina high levelof cleanliness within the hospital and adjacent buildings, which may require traveling between facilities independently Qualifications Must be able to read, understand and communicate effectively One (1) year of knowledge within acute care hospital environmental service techniques, practices and procedures, preferred High School Diploma or Equivalent, preferred Full benefits at Prime Healthcare: Employment Status Full Time Shift Days Equal Employment Opportunity Company is an equal employment opportunity employer.
