About the Position

Job Title: Med/Surg Psychiatric RN Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Medical/Surgical Nursing Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Rotating Shifts (Days/Evenings/Nights) Hours per Shift: 12 Hours Experience: - Minimum of 2 years of medical/surgical nursing experience - Psychology experience required - Telemetry experience required License: - RN License (New York only) Certifications: - Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association only Must-Have: - Recent medical/surgical experience - Willingness to care for a varied patient population in a changing environment Description: This is a great opportunity to join a unique unit. It specializes in adult medical/surgical care for patients with active co-morbid psychiatric and/or behavioral issues. This expanding unit seeks flexible, enthusiastic, and committed nurses to help with growth. Experience in medical/surgical acute care is a plus. Nurses are eligible for dual certification in both medical/surgical nursing and psychiatric nursing after the experience requirement is met.
