As a Special Education Teacher in this setting, you’ll work with a small caseload of 8 students, providing individualized instruction and interventions tailored to their needs. The focus is on fostering academic and social-emotional growth, developing adaptive skills, and building students’ confidence for success in both school and life.

Key Qualifications:

• Valid Special Education teaching certification or eligibility to obtain one
• Experience working with middle school-aged students, particularly in an intervention or resource setting
• Strong understanding of IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring
• Ability to differentiate instruction for diverse learning needs
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with students, parents, and multidisciplinary teams

Role Responsibilities:

• Deliver evidence-based instruction and targeted interventions to small groups and individuals
• Design and adapt curriculum to meet varying needs within the caseload
• Maintain accurate records, monitor student progress, and adjust plans as needed
• Partner with related service providers and general education teachers to support student integration
• Communicate consistently with families, ensuring transparency and involvement in student progress
• Foster a structured, supportive, and positive classroom environment
