Radiologic Technologist & Medical Support Specialist The Radiologic Technologist & Medical Support Specialist delivers high-quality patient care by performing routine diagnostic x-ray examinations and Medical Assistant duties in a fast-paced occupational health environment. This role works under the direct supervision of the treating clinician and in alignment with all facility policies, procedures, and regulatory standards. Schedule: 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM, 30-minute lunch, Monday-Friday Work Mix: Radiologic Technologist duties (20%) and Medical Assistant duties (80%) Key Responsibilities Radiologic Technologist Duties Perform routine radiologic examinations in accordance with facility protocols and state/federal regulations. Prepare patients for radiologic procedures, escorting them to exam rooms, and explaining instructions clearly. Position patients and operate radiologic equipment to obtain accurate diagnostic images. Apply strict radiation safety measures to protect patients and clinical staff. Maintain and calibrate x-ray equipment, ensuring compliance with QA/QC procedures and documentation requirements. Monitor equipment functionality and report any malfunctions to the Center Operations Director. Ensure all radiology workflows are completed accurately, including correct imaging transfer and reporting within the EMR. Complete all required documentation related to x-ray encounters in a timely and compliant manner. Medical Assistant Duties (80% of Role) Support clinicians with patient intake, physical examinations, vitals, and injury care. Prepare exam rooms and maintain clinical supplies. Assist with routine procedures. Document patient encounters accurately within the EMR. Provide excellent patient care in a fast‑paced occupational medicine setting. Required Skills & Experience Diagnostic x-ray examinations and image production: 1+ year experience required. State Radiologic Technologist Licensure (if applicable): Active license required. ARRT Registration: Active, unrestricted registration required. Highly Desired Medical Assistant experience: 1+ year experience preferred. CPR/First Aid Certification: Current certification preferred. Additional Qualifications Strong knowledge of radiologic equipment and radiation safety protocols. Excellent patient care and communication skills.
