Senior Tax AccountantRegional Bay Area CPA firm is looking to add a Senior Tax Accountant to their staff. Tax Senior Associates work closely with managers and partners to provide innovative tax solutions for our sophisticated client base. Primary responsibilities include preparing complex returns, performing planning, projection and compliance projects, and reviewing work from the associate level. Mentoring team members, providing thoughtful feedback, and transferring knowledge particularly to those learning under you are highly valued by the Firm. You will grow to interact directly with high caliber clients and gain insight into what is up and coming in Silicon Valley. As a Tax Senior Associate you will further develop the technical, professional, leadership and interpersonal skills to drive a successful career.ResponsibilitiesTax Senior Associates have the following key responsibilities on an ongoing basis:Review tax projects related to tax advisory, planning, research and consultingAnticipate and identify client tax issues and concerns, provide consultative and strategic solutions to resolve identified issuesMentor, train and supervise Tax AssociatesWork with the Partners and Managers of the Firm and make recommendations concerning business and tax planning strategies for external clientsParticipate in the recruitment of new staffDetermine optimal approaches for delivering high-quality client servicesQualificationsCandidates must possess a broad spectrum of skills and breadth of tax experience that will immediately inspire confidence.Minimum of two years of public accounting experience in taxationCPA licensed, license pending or exams in progress; all educational requirements for California CPA licensure completedMinimum Bachelor's degree in accounting or business, or with an emphasis in accounting; Master's degree in taxation a plusWell versed in business entities (i.e., Corporations, S-Corps, Partnerships and LLCs)Possess a proven track record in analyzing financial and tax data and attributesPassionate professional who understands the value of counseling and mentoring others
