Pharmacy TechnicianThis position will play a vital role in our high volume mail order pharmacy. As a closed door pharmacy, our focus is on fulfilling patient prescriptions in an accurate, timely manner. Patient interaction will be limited.ResponsibilitiesAll activities will be performed under the direct supervision of a pharmacistFilling individual prescription orders both manually and with the aid of a semi-automated device prior to final verification by a pharmacistCassette filling of semi-automated dispensing deviceBubble packing medicationsMaintaining a clean and organized work environmentPacking orders for shippingFulfilling over the counter orders in the adjacent warehouseChecking inventory into the pharmacy and inventory management systemsRoutinely checking for and quarantining outdated medicationsReceiving and organizing: Unloading deliveries, moving and organizing merchandise, and putting away inventoryProcessing orders: Reading and understanding work orders, picking items, and labeling productsPacking and shipping: Inspecting items for damage, packaging them, and loading them onto trucksQuality control: Ensuring that products meet quality requirements and that shipments are accurateInventory cycle countingUpdating systems: Updating inventory tracking systems and finalizing work ordersMay be trained to use a forkliftKitting/preparing inventory needs for the pharmacy and AmazonAny other duties assigned by a manager or pharmacistQualificationsAt least 18 years of ageHigh School diploma or GEDPTCB Certification is a plus but not required.Ability to pass FBI background check and get registered with Pennsylvania as a pharmacy technician traineeExperience with compounding is a plusMail order pharmacy experience is a plusAbility to perform basic math (addition, subtraction and multiplication) and count accuratelyAbility to learn and perform operations within pharmacy management software systemsRead, comprehend and implement company policies and procedures in daily practiceFast learner with a detail oriented mindsetPerform effectively as a member of a larger teamDedication to punctuality and low absenteeismCompensationStarting Pay: $20/hr - $22/hrHealth Care Plan (Medical, Dental & Vision)Retirement Plan (401k, Roth 401k)Life Insurance (Basic, Voluntary & AD&D)Flexible Paid Time OffPaid HolidaysShort Term DisabilityTraining & Development
