What You'll Do: Manage case files from intake through final disposition, ensuring deadlines are met. Prepare attorneys and clients for hearings, mediations, depositions, and trial. Coordinate with courts, clients, opposing counsel, and third parties regarding scheduling and case matters. Maintain case calendars, organize exhibits, and assist with trial preparation. Review, organize, and summarize financial records and other case-related documents. Communicate professionally and compassionately with clients throughout the legal process. Assist attorneys with day-to-day case management and other administrative tasks as needed. Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests and responses, correspondence, and proposed orders. What You Bring to the Table: 2+ years of family law paralegal experience preferred. Strong knowledge of Texas family law procedures and legal documentation. Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. High attention to detail and strong proofreading abilities. Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with attorneys and staff. Empathy and professionalism when working with clients during emotionally difficult situations. Familiarity with Collin, Denton, and Dallas County courts is preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal case management software. Required Education & Qualifications: Paralegal certificate, associate degree in paralegal studies, or equivalent experience preferred. Minimum of two years of family law paralegal experience strongly preferred. Notary Public commission is a plus but not required.
