Degree in Physical Therapy, active Physical Therapist license and 1+ year of Physical Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Valid Physical Therapy (PT) license for the state
• Previous experience in a school-based or pediatric setting is highly preferred
• Knowledge of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and relevant documentation standards
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage with students, teachers, and families
• Ability to manage caseloads, prioritize tasks, and adapt to a dynamic school environment
• Genuine passion for working with children and promoting their development

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess students to identify physical therapy needs impacting their educational performance
• Develop and implement appropriate, individualized treatment plans
• Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to ensure coordinated care
• Maintain timely and accurate documentation for all evaluations, treatments, and progress reports
• Participate in IEP meetings and provide professional recommendations for student goals
• Deliver direct therapy and consultative services as mandated by students’ educational plans
• Educate school staff on safe handling, mobility support, and accommodations in the classroom
