Job Title: Engineering Technician Job Description

As an Engineering Technician, you will play a critical role in assembling electrical control boxes using schematics and engineering drawings. You will mount DIN rails and electrical components onto sheet-metal panels, perform point-to-point electrical wiring, and complete the final electromechanical assembly of prototype units.

• Assemble electrical control boxes based on schematics and engineering drawings.
• Mount DIN rail and electrical components onto sheet-metal panels.
• Perform point-to-point electrical wiring.
• Cut and strip wires, and install terminals and connectors.
• Connect sensors, pumps, and other components back to electrical boxes.
• Complete final electromechanical assembly within prototype units.
• Identify drawing or wiring issues, ask appropriate questions, and support redlines.
• Work independently while collaborating directly with electrical and mechanical engineers.

• Hands-on experience with electrical box, control panel, or electrical cabinet assembly.
• Experience in point-to-point wiring.
• Ability to read and work from electrical schematics and engineering drawings.
• Proficiency in electromechanical assembly.
• Proficiency with standard hand tools, including screwdrivers, wire strippers, crimpers, and wrenches.
• Good communication skills.
• Ability to work relatively independently in an engineering and prototype environment.
• Technical understanding to recognize mistakes rather than simply follow instructions.

• Mechanical assembly experience.
• Experience installing mechanical components, threaded pipe, pumps, or sensors.
• Refrigeration-system experience.
• Torch brazing experience.
• EPA 608 certification.
• SolidWorks familiarity (strictly a plus; the technician will not be responsible for designing products or creating CAD models).
• Hands-on experience assembling and wiring electrical panels, boxes, cabinets, or electromechanical equipment.

You will be part of an engineering team working in a warehouse environment. The role involves working on prototypes, directly interacting with engineering to identify potential errors, and questioning unclear wiring or drawing information.

This is a Contract position based out of Woburn, MA.

The pay range for this position is $33.00 - $35.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.

This is a fully onsite position in Woburn,MA.
