Payroll Analyst

Overview and Responsibilities This position is tasked with ensuring exactness and timely payroll processing for employees within a large company, multi-state, union environment. This position requires a comprehensive knowledge of internal processes, compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations as well as company policies, and the ability to oversee complex issues. The successful candidate will also have basic knowledge of payroll accounting, wage and hour laws, and SOX compliance. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: End-to-end processing of multi-frequency union and non-union payrolls Audit and reconciliation of HR and payroll data to identify and address discrepancies and ensure accuracy Ensure data is compliant with federal, state, and local tax regulations, including multistate taxation rules Reconcile payroll integration and bank files Provide timely and compliant response and set up of employee garnishments Provide ad hoc reports to internal customers as required Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll issues, providing timely and reliable information and resolving discrepancies Keep abreast of payroll-related regulations Build and maintain deep relationships with business partners, including Human Resources and IT Provide testing support for system upgrades and periodic tax updates Special projects as assigned Basic Qualifications 3+ years of payroll experience in a large company setting Experience with SAP Employee Central Payroll (ECP) or other major HCM system preferred Solid attention to detail and a high level of accuracy Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite with intermediate-level Excel skills Demonstrated awareness of the relationship between HR policies/programs and payroll Ability to maintain strict confidentiality Well-developed verbal and written communication skills Ability to prioritize competing demands and work well under strain Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team Forward-thinking with exemplary customer service skills Additional Qualifications Execute against goals and deadlines Influence and skillfully communicate with others to drive work forward Design, apply, and interpret robust analytical solutions to support decisions Positively contribute to a culture of people development and learning Uphold ways of working that promote DE&I advocacy Translate the "big picture" vision into a clear action plan Paramount Skydance Corporation (NASDAQ: PSKY) is a leading global media and entertainment company that creates premium content and experiences for audiences worldwide. Hiring Salary Range: $65,000.00 - 75,000.00. The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York City, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
