ASIC, SOC, Foundry market research consultant

Job Details We are looking to perform competitive analysis and establish the players, specifications of chips and IP for Ethernet SERDES, PCIe, UCIe, LPDDR, DDR, HBM PHYs and controllers. Using this information, the team will build a roadmap and layout strategies including both internal and external teams. This requires a deep understanding of the competition on each IP. The Market Research Consultant will hold weekly meetings with the Manager, plan and gather information, analyze data, and present findings with clear PowerPoint or report to the entire team. Collaboration with Design and SOC teams will also be required to understand their needs and details. Work will primarily be remote; occasional visits to Intel facility will be required. This is a temporary position. Minimum Qualifications Electrical Engineering bachelor’s degree or related field. Business degree (MBA). 10+ years of experience in business development roles. 25+ years of combined experience in semiconductor companies (knowledge of chips, ASICs, foundries from a business perspective). Contacts in the Bay area with most chip companies. Experience in collecting and extracting data from datasheets, press releases, and AI-driven data compilation. Marketing research and semiconductor foundry business expertise. Experience with SOCs for datacom, telecom, and high-performance computing. Experience with SERDES/PHY IPs for Ethernet, PCIe, UCIe, LPDDR, DDR, HBM. Preferred Qualifications Knowledge of SERDES (Serializer/Deserializer) and analog spaces. Willingness to attend trade shows, expos, conferences. Annual Salary Range for jobs which could be performed in the US: $52,000.00 - $200,000.00. The range displayed reflects the minimum and maximum target compensation for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Work Model This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model, allowing employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site.
