Description

• Conduct thorough evaluations for pediatric, adult, and elderly clients utilizing both standardized assessments and observational methodologies.
• Create individualized treatment plans addressing both immediate objectives and comprehensive communication, cognitive, or swallowing challenges.
• Deliver dedicated speech therapy sessions targeting aspects of language, fluency, voice, and swallowing issues.
• Work alongside a collaborative interdisciplinary team including physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, and family members to foster holistic care approaches.
• Provide education to patients and their families to ensure progress continues long after therapy sessions.
• Perform occasional inpatient assessments and interventions to maintain quality care throughout the recovery process.
• Adhere to thorough and precise documentation practices in accordance with state, federal, and organizational policies.
• Commit to ongoing professional development through continuing education and peer communication.

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if ASHA certification has not yet been achieved.

Certifications

• State-level licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of starting.
