Mechanical Engineer

Compensation: $100,000–$145,000 Base Salary + Full Benefits + Bonus Potential We are seeking a highly motivated Mechanical Engineer to join a growing mechanical contractor in Bozeman, Montana. This individual will play a key role in the design, coordination, and execution of complex commercial and industrial mechanical construction projects. The ideal candidate will have strong HVAC system design experience and a desire to work closely with engineering, project management, and field operations teams in a fast-paced, construction-focused environment. Responsibilities Design and develop HVAC and mechanical systems for commercial and industrial construction projects Produce load calculations, equipment selections, and system layouts Develop construction documents, shop drawings, and coordinated BIM/Revit models Coordinate with project management, field operations, subcontractors, clients, and other engineering disciplines throughout the project lifecycle Assist with design‑assist and design‑build project delivery Support value engineering efforts and constructability reviews Participate in project meetings and coordination sessions Review project specifications, submittals, RFIs, and mechanical plans Ensure designs comply with applicable codes, standards, and client requirements Support commissioning and project closeout activities as needed Preferred Project Experience Commercial HVAC systems Industrial and manufacturing facilities Mission‑critical and data center projects Laboratories and life sciences Distribution and warehouse facilities Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field preferred (P.E.
