Fundraising Specialist- Joy in Childhood Foundation

The Fundraising Specialist is an integral member of the Joy in Childhood Foundation team and reports to the Fundraising Manager. The role focuses on growing revenue‑generating activities through relationship management and special events, increasing the Foundation’s fundraising capabilities for sustained growth. The Fundraising Specialist will lead and support regional fundraising events across the country for Dunkin’ and Baskin‑Robbins. This role works with event volunteer leads and regional chapter co‑chairs to implement major events of varying size and scope. Salary: $68,493 – $114,155 per year. The range reflects the low and high end of salary, with placement based on experience, education, training, and location. Responsibilities Develop financial budgets and goals for regional events as assigned, ensuring that all events stay within expense ratios defined by the Board of Directors. Manage volunteer event committees; track clear roles and responsibilities, ensuring deadlines and goals are reached. Work with volunteer event committee to execute project plans for each event. Create event sponsorship levels and manage implementation of benefits. Develop and help execute fundraising functions at events including auctions and mission‑based giving. Manage contracts and negotiations with event vendors. Support event‑related accounting functions, including reconciling event budgets and ensuring assigned events are closed and funds are received in a timely manner. Work with Communications Manager to create and increase awareness of, and drive participation in, events within our franchisee and partner community. Work with Communications Manager to ensure mission and branding guidelines are adhered to for all event communications and publicity. Collaborate with Communications Manager and Grants Specialist to create mission content to bring awareness to the Foundation and create giving calls to action for event day. Ensure all funding and reporting deadlines are met, including managing agreements and cultivation and stewardship systems and processes. Create presentations and pitch materials, schedule meetings, and conduct follow‑up. In partnership with the JICF team, support the Foundation’s overall stewardship plan, including annual donor stewardship and outreach activities. Implement personalized stewardship and solicitation activities in a timely manner. Track outreach activity (personal meetings, stewardship activities, etc.) in the CRM. Create materials to be presented to the national Board of Directors. Participate in and support quarterly national board meetings, including the two‑day annual meeting. Education Qualifications Minimum 4‑year degree. Experience in event management, communications, marketing, public relations, business or a related field is required. Experience Qualifications Minimum: 5+ years of experience. Relevant nonprofit and/or community relations experience preferred. Fundraising experience required. Required Knowledge, Skills, or Abilities Significant experience in the areas of fundraising, event management, and relationship management. Proven track record of successfully managing and implementing major events. Proven volunteer leadership and management skills. Strong organizational skills; project management experience preferred. A self‑starter with the ability to set priorities, multi‑task, and remain focused within a rigorous, fast‑paced and quickly changing environment. Ability to work independently and on a highly collaborative team. Exemplary interpersonal, listening, and facilitation skills. Experience with Salesforce or a similar donor CRM; experience with Asana, Monday, or other project management software is a plus.
