Relationship Banker II

Job FunctionTo create an exceptional customer experience by establishing, maintaining, and deepening relationships by determining customer needs, opening deposit accounts, processing loans, providing deposit and loan account servicing, performing teller transactions and initiating referrals to other areas of the bank.Duties & ResponsibilitiesCreate an exceptional customer experience by building relationships, evaluating needs, providing education, and recommending products and services.Follow the bank's established sales and service process.Analyze customer needs so that appropriate recommendations can be made to new and existing customers.Perform account openings, customer maintenance, processing loan applications and closing loans in keeping with established procedures to ensure timely service delivery. Complete new customer/new account onboarding activities as assigned.Engage proactively in campaigns and promotions, ensuring timely completion of activities and scheduling follow-up tasks as needed.Effective use of CRM to capture prospect/customer information, record customer activities, schedule follow up activities, identify next likely sales opportunities and other related activities to facilitate robust customer relationship management.Proficient in identifying needs of the customer and help strengthen relationships by cross selling and referring to partners, such as Business Banking, Treasury Management, Wealth Management, and Trust, when financial needs are identified.Complies with all federal and state laws and regulations, and all established bank policies and proceduresMay assist with processing reporting such as NSF and Past Due.Process a variety of customer transactions, which may include cash handling by hand, via cash recyclers, ATMs, and/or Automated Banking Machines.Proficient in processing consumer loans.Adhere to established safety and security protocols.Assist with opening and closing of banking centers to include Saturday rotation.Assist in managing and overseeing a customer portfolio, ensuring regular reviews and updates of customer accounts and financial goals.Act as a mentor for colleagues and supports branch leadership activities.Effective use of all applications and systems utilized in the banker role.Perform other duties as assignedMinimum QualificationsWork Experience1-2 years of retail banking or financial services experience.Advanced knowledge of consumer and commercial bank products and services.Knowledge of new account opening process.Experience providing excellent customer service through various forms of communication (face to face, email, and telephone).Demonstrated success in achieving assigned goals.Preferred Experience (Optional)Experience working in a Universal Banker role.Supervisory ExperienceN/APosition Includes DrivingN/AEducation/SkillsHigh School Diploma/GED with equivalent experience in retail banking or financial services experience on a year for year basis.Demonstrated Sales and Service experience that includes proven success in establishing and meeting sales goals utilizing the consultative sales approach.Competency RequirementsExcellent customer service skills to include good verbal and written communication.Must be able to communicate face to face with customers.Proven organizational skills with ability to multi-task and follow assigned tasks through completion.Must be able to focus on details and be accurate.Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.Must be accustomed to a fast-paced office environment.Physical RequirementsMust be able to reach, bend, push, and pull files up to 30 pounds.Must be able to sit/stand for most of the day in front of a computer screen,Must be able to speak to and hear to communicate with customers,Must be able to type on a keyboard,Must be able to read a laptop/computer monitor,Must be able to reach teller tubes,Must be mobile in an office environment,Equipment/Machines/SoftwareExcellent computer literacy in Microsoft Programs (Outlook,Word, Excel, and Power Point).Proficiency with search engines /web browsers and Adobe Reader.Ability to work with office equipment such as copiers, scanners, shredders, fax machines andother digital devicesAbility to use Financial Service Platform software.This job description does not imply an employment contract, nor is it intended to include every duty and responsibility that the employee is responsible for.
