Day Clerk/Stocker - Part Time - Cosentino's Downtown Market

Cosentino's Sunfresh #448 is seeking a dedicated Day Clerk/Stocker to join our team. This role involves maintaining store inventory, providing excellent customer service, and ensuring a clean and organized shopping environment. The ideal candidate should possess strong stocking merchandise skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced retail setting. This position requires a commitment to food safety and sanitation standards.

Responsibilities:

• Stocking merchandise on shelves, ensuring proper facing and rotation.
• Loading and unloading deliveries, utilizing pallet jacks as needed.
• Maintaining a clean and organized work area, adhering to sanitation guidelines.
• Providing exceptional customer service, demonstrating strong interpersonal communication skills.
• Operating the point of sale system accurately and efficiently.
• Assisting with merchandising displays to promote sales.
• Monitoring inventory levels and reporting discrepancies.
• Handling customer inquiries and resolving issues with a positive approach.
• Applying selling techniques to assist customers with product selection.
• Adhering to all food safety and sanitation protocols.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Working knowledge of retail operations.
• General knowledge of arithmetic and general mathematics.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Effective communication skills in the English language.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Familiarity with warehousing procedures.
• Understanding of basic food safety and sanitation practices.
• Ability to multitask and remain detail-oriented.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a grocery store or retail environment.
• Experience with point of sale systems.
• Familiarity with merchandising principles.
• Demonstrated ability to work well under pressure.

Education:
