Position: Assistant/Associate Professor

We are currently looking for exceptional candidates to join our team as a full-time faculty member at the Assistant or Associate Professor level within the Division of Infectious Diseases (ID). This role will encompass contributions to clinical care, education, research, and various programmatic initiatives within the ID Division of our Department of Medicine.

Overview

The ID Division is highly regarded for its commitment to excellent patient care and superior clinical training opportunities. Our faculty are based at two primary hospitals—Keck Hospital and Norris Cancer Center—along with other facilities on our Health Sciences Campus. The mission of the ID Division is to advance knowledge in Infectious Diseases while serving both local and global communities to alleviate disease burdens, all while promoting equitable healthcare practices.

Clinical Responsibilities

With over 50 years of tradition, the ID Division has been delivering outstanding clinical services at the USC Health Sciences Campus, which includes the Keck University Hospital and the Kenneth Norris Cancer Hospital. Our division offers both inpatient and outpatient consultative services, covering General, Transplantation, and Orthopedic infectious diseases. Faculty members lead various programs across the campus, such as transplant ID, antimicrobial stewardship, orthopedic ID, and healthcare epidemiology. Additionally, ID faculty are actively involved in graduate medical education at the Keck School of Medicine, with diverse research interests that span diagnostics in infectious diseases, fungal infections, healthcare epidemiology, and innovative antimicrobial therapies.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

• Possess an MD, MD/PhD, or DO, along with board certification or eligibility in Infectious Diseases.
• Eligible for medical licensure in the State of California.
• Qualified for a faculty appointment at our School of Medicine at the Assistant or Associate Professor level, in accordance with our policies.

Compensation and Benefits
