Ultrasound Technologist - Ultrasound Tech


Job Details:


• Work 7 on 7 off schedule with 8:00 PM to 6:00 AM shifts running from Wednesday nights to Tuesday morning
• Alternate between 40 hours one week and 30 hours the next week in a 2-week schedule period
• No call requirements for this specific shift
• Float between inpatient and clinic sides as needed
• Perform all range of ultrasound scans for patients from infants through adults (general, very limited vascular)
• Complete 6-8 scans per tech with department average of 50 per day (majority on ambulatory side)
• Procedural experience highly preferred including para or thoracentesis
• May work as the only technologist in department depending on shift
• Weekend requirements include on-call rotation every 2 weeks
• Holiday requirements include on-call only depending on rotation
• Work with Siemens and Philips equipment
• Use Cerner EMR system and Siemens/SECTRA PACS
• No assigned scrub color and scrubs are not provided
• Up to 1 week department orientation including CBTs, computer access, organizational checklist, and floor training
• Must clock in and out at facility
• 1 year of experience required
• Required certifications: BLS (AHA), RDMS (AB) via ARDMS, RDMS (OB/GYN) via ARDMS
• First time travelers and duos accepted
• No IV starts required

This Level 2 trauma center provides comprehensive acute care services with advanced imaging capabilities. The facility features modern ultrasound equipment and maintains organizational radiology coverage from 8:00 AM to 10:00 PM with nighthawk coverage overnight. The ultrasound department serves both inpatient and outpatient populations, offering a full range of diagnostic imaging services with a focus on general ultrasound procedures and procedural support.
