As a Security Guard Patrol Route Officer in Richmond, VA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Join Allied Universal at a dynamic tech location where you will patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. In this unarmed role, you will support daily operations through routine patrols, professionalism, and quick response, while working with a team that values being agile, reliable, innovative, caring, and guided by integrity.

Pay Rate: $19.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to the location.
• Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting details and communicating with site contacts as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout office areas, lobbies, parking areas, and the perimeter, noting and reporting access issues, hazards, and/or suspicious activity.
• Monitor entry and exit points, help to deter unauthorized access, and follow visitor, delivery, and credential verification procedures for a fast-paced technology-focused location.
• Support incident reporting and routine operational needs by completing required logs, reports, and observations, and by relaying relevant information to site leadership and/or Allied Universal management.

Minimum Requirements:

• A guard card and/or license is preferred.
• CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
