Job Description:

Our site near Culpeper, VA, in beautiful, rural Orange County (1.5 hours from Washington, DC) is growing! This site is our center of excellence for Solid Rocket Motor Propulsion and Energetics development as well as high-complexity production programs. We are seeking a Receiving Inspectorto join our team at ourCulpeper, VA site.

Under general supervision, an Inspector B utilizes a general application of quality assurance concepts, practices and techniques. The hours of work will equate to those of the manufacturing areas, and overtime will be expected as directed by the department manager.

Essential Functions:

• Responsible for strict adherence to safety and housekeeping standards.
• Will enter the manufacturing areas.
• Use calipers, micrometers and other measuring and/or specialized equipment to perform inspections on rocket motors and rocket motor components under the supervision of higher level inspectors in accordance with AS 9100/ISO 9001 elements.
• Complete paperwork such as writing IR cards, Discrepancy reports, etc.
• Enter shipping data, Discrepancy reports and Oracle entries in the computer on all programs.
• Ability to obtain a US Security Clearance.

Qualifications:

• Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 4 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience.

Preferred Additional Skills:

• Trade or Vocational School courses in reading and interpreting complex blueprints and basic math.
• Understanding of the related AS 9100/ISO 9001 elements.

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in Virginia (outside of Greater D.C. area) is $18.27 MIN - $33.65 MAX. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
