Team Lead, YouTube Shopping Ads

YouTube, Mountain View, CA, USA Qualifications Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience. 8 years of experience programming in Java or C++. 5 years of experience testing and launching software products, and 3 years of experience with software design and architecture. Preferred qualifications Master’s degree or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field. 8 years of experience with data structures and algorithms. 3 years of experience in a technical leadership role leading project teams and setting technical direction. 3 years of experience working in a complex, matrixed organization involving cross-functional or cross-business projects. Experience with user understanding and analysis of user metrics and trends. Familiarity with PLX/SQL/database querying technologies. Responsibilities Optimize the delivery of shopping ads to YouTube viewers by incorporating new product information, refining content and presentation, and driving impact for users and customers in a full-stack manner. Contribute to the overall strategy of YouTube Shopping Ads, helping to build one of YouTube Ads' growing businesses. Develop expertise on the technical stack to deliver projects successfully. Work cross-functionally with product managers (PMs), user experience (UX) teams, and other software engineers (SWEs) to deliver on projects pertaining to YouTube Shopping Ads. Produce high-quality output and grow the business in conjunction with tech leads (TLs) and tech lead managers (TLMs) using a data-driven approach. Compensation and Benefits US: $207,000 - $301,000 (USD) + 20% bonus target + equity + benefits.
