Assistant Manager

Assistant ManagerThe Assistant Manager reports to and receives supervision from the House Manager. The Assistant Manager will assist the House Manager in the overall management, supervision and coordination of staffing, medical appointments, clinical needs and other supports needed in order to ensure essential services are provided to individuals in the residence.Minimum Qualifications:Minimum of two (2) years equivalent work experience directly related to working with individuals who have development/intellectual disabilitiesKnowledge of community systemsExcellent interpersonal and communication (written/verbal) skillsExperience in supervision preferredCurrent drivers' license, safe driving record, ability to pass extensive background check, CPR and First Aid certificationsJob Responsibilities:Assists in assigned tasks including managing team performance; developing and implementing daily activities; facilitating communication among staff, individuals supported and their families/guardians; ensuring supported individuals participate in activities of their choiceAssist House Manager in managing a team of direct support staff including conducting training, scheduling, disciplining as needed and completion of performance reviewsAssist in ensuring documentation and forms are complete, accurate and timelyResponsible to work directly with Manager in supervision of individual spending and assisting with weekly and monthly budgetingResponsible for the daily review of Staff Daily Communication Log, Daily Progress Notes, and Data Sheets. All issues of any concern to be immediately reported to immediate supervisor. Responsible for completion of Individual's quarterly reports.Responsible to communicate with individuals' family members regarding family visits, and to provide schedule information to immediate supervisor. This will occur in advance of holidays and on a weekly basis regarding regularly scheduled weekly visits.Participates in ISP meetings, team meetings and reviews team performanceResponsible to rotate in On Call ScheduleServe as back up support staff when staff is unable to work a scheduled shift or if shift is unfilledRepresent the agency's mission and vision in a positive and supportive manner within the community and with individuals/families supportedAttend appropriate workshops, seminars and trainingMaintain a positive relationship with the individuals, families/guardians, other businesses and social service agenciesAdhere to the Direct Support Professional Code of EthicsOther duties as required and/or assignedIf you are passionate about making a difference in the lives of individuals with disabilities, we invite you to apply today and join our dedicated team at The Arc of Bristol County!
