Senior Accountant, Corporate Accounting - based in Houston

This position is ideal for a detail-oriented accounting professional who can manage deadlines, collaborate across teams, and help ensure timely, reliable financial operations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and post journal entries for corporate accounting transactions.
• Maintain the general ledger and ensure transactions are recorded accurately and in accordance with company policies.
• Perform account and balance sheet reconciliations to maintain accurate financial records.
• Support budgeting processes and monitor financial performance against established targets.
• Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for process improvement.
• Lead month-end close activities to support timely and accurate financial reporting.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve accounting issues and improve reporting processes.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of progressive experience in corporate accounting.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from an accredited college or university.
• Working knowledge of U.S. GAAP, general ledger accounting, chart of accounts, account reconciliations, and financial reporting.
