Job Title: Cert Sterile Proc Tech

Location: Texas Children's Hospital

Contract Length: Evening Shift (2:30pm-11:00pm)

Job Summary:
To provide for the efficient processing of instruments and sterilization throughout Texas Children's Hospital. The role involves ensuring proper decontamination, sterilization, and high-level disinfection of medical devices, adhering to established priorities and best practices.

Required Qualifications:

• CRCST - Certified Registered Central Service Technician (International Association of Healthcare Central Service Material Management)
• Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician (issued by The Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution)

Preferred Qualifications:

• Knowledge of a wide variety of instrumentation used in the operating room and throughout the hospital
• Ability to operate all OR sterilization and processing equipment
• Strong organizational and prioritization skills
• Capability to work independently with consistent supervision

Additional Information:

• Performs physical and environmental duties, including cleaning workspaces, monitoring sterilizers, and managing biohazard waste
• Completes sterilization processes and high-level disinfection
• Receives and processes instruments from the decontamination area
• Performs other essential instrument room duties as assigned
