Accountant

Growing multi-entity home services group (roofing/construction) is seeking a hands-on Accounting Manager to own and scale the accounting function. This is a player-coach role — you’ll lead while staying in the details. You’ll manage full-cycle accounting, ensure a timely close (by the 15th), and build systems that support growth in a fast-moving, field-driven business. What you’ll do: Own full-cycle accounting across multiple entities (QuickBooks) Lead month-end close, journal entries, and reconciliations Oversee AP/AR, payroll, 1099s, W-2s, and compliance Manage job costing, WIP reporting, and revenue recognition Track project profitability, labor/material costs, and margins Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management Handle lien releases, subcontractor payments, and vendor compliance Build SOPs, strengthen internal controls, and improve processes Deliver accurate financials and actionable insights to leadership What we’re looking for: 5+ years of accounting experience Strong QuickBooks + month-end close experience Experience in roofing, construction, or home services strongly preferred Familiarity with job costing, WIP, and project-based accounting Detail-oriented with a strong ownership mindset High-impact role with the opportunity to build structure, improve visibility, and drive profitability . #J-18808-Ljbffr
