Workers Compensation Managing Attorney

A leading plaintiff-side law firm is seeking an experienced Workers' Compensation Managing Attorney to lead and expand its growing Workers' Compensation practice. Key Responsibilities Lead and oversee the day-to-day operations of the Workers' Compensation division. Manage, mentor, and supervise attorneys, paralegals, case managers, and support staff in partnership with division leadership. Maintain an active caseload, including hearings, litigation strategy, client communication, settlement negotiations, and case resolution. Provide legal oversight and quality control for Workers' Compensation matters from intake through final resolution. Represent injured workers in Nevada Workers' Compensation hearings, appeals, and related litigation proceedings. Develop, implement, and improve department-wide workflows, SOPs, KPIs, and accountability measures. Monitor case progression, deadlines, medical treatment issues, hearing preparation, settlement opportunities, and overall file quality. Train and develop legal and support staff to enhance legal performance, client service, and operational consistency. Collaborate with intake, litigation, case management, and operations teams to ensure seamless case handling and client experience. Identify process improvements and implement scalable systems to support continued department growth. Support strategic planning initiatives and contribute to the long-term expansion of the Workers' Compensation practice. Foster a culture of professionalism, accountability, compassion, and client-focused advocacy. Qualifications Active license and good standing with the Nevada State Bar. Strong ability to manage an active caseload while leading a legal department. Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills. Strong organizational, leadership, and decision-making abilities. Ability to collaborate effectively across legal, operations, intake, litigation, and case management teams. Demonstrated commitment to exceptional client service and advocacy for injured workers. Preferred Qualifications 5+ years of Workers' Compensation experience. Prior leadership, supervisory, or management experience. Experience handling Nevada Workers' Compensation hearings, appeals, and claims litigation. Plaintiff-side or claimant-side Workers' Compensation experience. Experience developing workflows, SOPs, KPIs, training programs, and accountability systems.
