Job DescriptionDeveloping data tools, providing insights resources and creating story telling visuals in collaboration with our Kroger Sales Team.We’re seeking a skilled professional to own the Kroger reporting and analytics ecosystem by developing scalable data tools, dynamic dashboards, and advanced visualization solutions. This role will partner with Analytics, Sales, Category, Finance, and technical teams to integrate complex data sources and deliver solutions that support informed business decisions.This role requires an individual with strong agility and the ability to adapt to change in a fast-paced environment. If you're passionate about data analytics, collaboration, and driving results, we want to hear from you!Primary ResponsibilitiesOwn the Kroger reporting and analytics ecosystem, including developing and enhancing Power BI dashboards, data tools, reporting standards, adoption, and continuous improvement.Lead the analytics roadmap and intake process, translating ambiguous business needs into clear requirements and prioritized, scalable solutions that deliver actionable recommendations.Write, optimize, and troubleshoot SQL queries in Snowflake and across large datasets to power accurate, efficient, and scalable Power BI reporting Establish standard operating procedures for data governance and quality, including metric definitions, data dictionaries, validation, reconciliations, refreshes, and issue resolution.Integrate internal and external data sources to deliver scorecards, forecasts, competitive insights, and decision-oriented business recommendations. (i.e. 84.51 Stratum, Circana, Market 6 OnDemand, Snowflake, Planning Tools)Partner cross-functionally with Sales, Category, Finance, and technical teams to align priorities and connect analytics to measurable business impact.Champion data literacy, documentation, training and analytics best practices across the Kroger TeamMinimum QualificationsBachelor's or Master's degree in Business Analytics, Data Science, Statistics, Information Systems, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field is preferredMinimum 1-3 years of experience in data analytics/visualization and/or project managementExperience with data manipulation and processing, including data validation and synthesis methodologySolid understanding of Power BI tools and recent work done on synthesizing dataAbility to read and write SQL queries strongly preferredStrong commercial background and social skills, with the ability to understand context and apply it to drive advanced analysisFoundational experience with Snowflake (or other SQL based tools). Experience with other data and analytics platforms are a plusUnderstanding of industry data metrics related to sales, inventory, shopper/panel, and point of sale dataSkills/AbilitiesStrong technical, analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to perform situation analysis, track financial returns, and identify growth strategiesAbility to collaborate cross-functionally, influence without formal authority, and build trust across diverse stakeholder groups.Strong prioritization, project management, and process management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities, anticipate dependencies, and drive continuous improvement.Ability to develop and execute an analytics roadmap while balancing stakeholder expectations and business needs.Strong data governance, quality assurance, and reporting portfolio management capabilities.Ability to synthesize complex technical information into clear, decision-oriented business stories and recommendations.Business and financial acumen, with the ability to connect analytics investments and technical decisions to measurable business outcomes.Commitment to continuous improvement, experimentation, knowledge sharing, and change leadership.Ability to quickly learn new technologies, tools, and analytical capabilities.Work Environment:This is a hybrid office role with minimal travel, working in an open workspace. The schedule is salaried and exempt, requiring flexibility to meet customer and internal expectations.You will be expected to go into the Cincinnati Sales Office 3 days a week.
