Job Summary The Order Entry Clerk is responsible for coordinating inbound and outbound freight, processing shipping and receiving documentation, maintaining accurate inventory records, and providing administrative support to warehouse operations. This position works closely with carriers, customers, and warehouse personnel to ensure shipments are processed accurately, on time, and in compliance with company procedures. Key Responsibilities

• Process inbound and outbound freight orders accurately and efficiently.
• Prepare and verify shipping and receiving documentation, including bills of lading, packing lists, and freight paperwork.
• Schedule and coordinate inbound deliveries and outbound shipments with carriers and customers.
• Verify shipment accuracy by comparing purchase orders, packing slips, and inventory records.
• Enter shipping, receiving, and inventory transactions into the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
• Communicate with drivers, carriers, customers, and warehouse staff regarding shipment status and delivery schedules.
• Resolve shipping, receiving, and freight discrepancies promptly.
• Maintain organized shipping and receiving records and files.
• Answer incoming calls and provide customer service related to shipping, receiving, and order status.
• Assist with inventory control, cycle counts, and other warehouse administrative tasks as needed.
• Follow company safety procedures and maintain a clean and organized work area.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous experience in shipping, receiving, logistics, or warehouse operations preferred.
• Intermediate computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize work, and communicate effectively with customers, carriers, and team members.
