Job Title: Sterile Processing Tech (SPT) Team Lead Surgical Services

Location: Charleston, SC

Setting: Hospital

Pay Range: 34.06 - 35.76

Schedule: 15:00 - 23:30

Contract Length: 13 weeks

Candidate Type: Local and traveler friendly

Requirements:

• Minimum of three (3) years of sterile processing experience
• Prior leadership experience
• Familiarity with electronic instrument tracking systems
• CBSPD and/or CRCST - HSPA certification
• May be required to float or be permanently switched to CSC, Main, or West Campus
• Willing to work the specified shift hours and participate in holiday rotation
• Ability to oversee sterile processing operations and staff supervision

Responsibilities:

• Directly supervise Lead Technician, Tech I, II, III, and Non-Certified Technicians across all SPD work areas
• Provide daily assignments based on workload, case volume, and departmental priorities
• Oversee instrument tracking, documentation accuracy, and inventory control
• Monitor tray turnaround times, instrument availability, and case cart readiness
• Ensure compliance with infection prevention practices and regulatory standards
