Overview

Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care to adult patients in the IMCU/PCU, including ongoing assessment, monitoring, and timely response to changes in condition.
- Administer medications and therapies per physician orders, including heparin drips, and monitor for efficacy and safety; adjust as directed by protocol.
- Monitor telemetry, vital signs, and laboratory results; document findings accurately and communicate changes to the care team.
- Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and other disciplines to implement and adjust individualized care plans for patients with sepsis, heart failure, hypertensive emergencies, respiratory failure, COPD, and CKD.
- Support safe patient transitions, participate in discharge planning, provide patient and family education, and uphold infection control and safety standards.

Requirements
- Active registered nurse license to practice in Georgia (or eligibility to obtain GA licensure)
- Minimum 2 years of current PCU/IMCU or critical care nursing experience
- BLS and ACLS certifications at the time of assignment
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program
- Ability to work in a high-acuity IMCU/PCU setting and meet a 48-hour-per-week schedule; capable of 12-hour shifts
