Special Education Teacher

Special Education Teacher Join Legacy Traditional Schools as a Special Education Teacher and help students with unique learning needs reach their full potential. You will work one‑on‑one with students, create personalized learning approaches, and apply proven direct instruction techniques. Principal Responsibilities Create and sustain a collaborative classroom environment that engages students and promotes learning. Assess each student’s learning capabilities and develop individualized solutions that match each student’s learning style and abilities. Implement the school's curriculum, guiding students toward the achievement of curriculum goals. Celebrate student accomplishments and encourage students to uphold the school's values and model mature behavior. Maintain a physically active presence on campus, including light lifting, standing, and occasional travel to other campuses. Qualifications & Requirements Bachelor’s degree or higher. K‑12 Special Education Mild/Moderate or Moderate/Severe teaching certificate in the state of employment. Ability to perform light lifting and remain active throughout the school day. Background check may vary by state; a state and national criminal history check may be required.
