ChristianaCare is currently seeking Full time Sr. CNA/PCT 2 in Float Pool at our Union Hospital Campus located in Elkton, Maryland across multiple units. Shifts include 12hr shifts Eve/Midnight shift 7p-7a Rotating Weekends and Holidays as per department guidelines. The Certified Nursing Assistant (Sr. CNA) supports activities of daily living under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse (RN) with an expectation to support the organizations patient safety goals and initiatives. In addition to direct patient care, the CNA / PCT II position requires the execution of clerical duties to help support the nursing staff and patients. Demonstrates skills and knowledge vital to deliver care appropriate to patients in various stages of development. Performs assigned nursing duties for the comfort and well-being of patients. Responds to patient crisis and initiates interventions within the scope of responsibilities and notifies RN. Job duties include, but not limited to, performing, and accurately recording vital signs, Accu-checks, bathing, grooming, toileting, feeding, and mobilizing patients. Performs successful finger sticks on patients, following all standard laboratory safety policies. Performs defined procedures on point of care instrumentation and EKGs. Following established policies and procedures, additional duties may include phlebotomy venipuncture. Responds with promptness, compassion, and interest to needs of patients. Order entry into Meditech Communicates to patients, employees, and physicians using courteous verbal and written communication skills. Demonstrates proficiency using required computer skills to document in the electronic medical record. Performs Unit Clerk duties such as, answering phones, entering charges, calling provider consults, setting up patient transportation, assisting staff with clerical needs and audits and coordinates maintenance of unit supplies. Scheduling and frequent contact with Provider offices. Completes required in-service education. Performs assigned work safely, adhering to established departmental safety rules and practices; reports to supervisor, in a timely manner, any unsafe activities, conditions, hazards, or safety violations that may cause injury to oneself, other employees, patients, and visitors. Performs other related duties as required. Hourly Pay Range: $19.48 - $28.24 This pay rate/range represents ChristianaCare's good faith and reasonable estimate of compensation at the time of posting.
