St. Charles Medical Hospital is a non‑profit acute care facility near NYC that has served the residents of scenic Port Jefferson/ the Three Village area for more than 110 years. A member of Catholic Health Services of Long Island, the hospital currently performs about 1,700 annual deliveries.

It offers 24‑hour anesthesia coverage, dedicated obstetric anesthesiologists and spinal/epidural analgesia for labor and C‑sections. Women and families receive high tech yet personalized care, with labor, delivery and recovery in one room.

What Does an OBGYN Hospitalist Do?

• Handle OB emergencies / Deliver babies
• Collaborate with local physicians
• Evaluate and treat triage patients
• Provide leadership on L&D
• Perform surgeries/ Surgical assists
• Care for unassigned patients
• Educate residents and med students
