Role Description The Financial Services Coordinator is a full-time, on-site role located in Grand Rapids, MI, responsible for supporting the district’s financial operations. Day-to-day tasks include processing and reconciling financial transactions, assisting with budgeting and accounting activities, and maintaining accurate financial records in compliance with district policies and applicable regulations. The role coordinates with schools and departments to respond to financial inquiries, prepare routine reports, and support grant or program funding processes. This position also involves providing courteous customer service to staff and vendors, supporting continuous improvement of financial workflows, and collaborating with colleagues to ensure timely and efficient financial services. Qualifications Candidates should possess strong Analytical Skills to interpret financial data, identify discrepancies, and support data-driven decision-making. Candidates should possess Finance and Accounting skills to manage transactions, assist with budgeting, and ensure accurate recordkeeping. Candidates should possess effective Communication and Customer Service skills to interact professionally with staff, vendors, and community partners. Proficiency with financial software, spreadsheets, and general office technology. Attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines. Experience in public sector, K–12 education, or nonprofit finance is beneficial.
