About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Intermediate Care Duration: 20 Weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years in a similar setting License: Active VA/Compact License required upon start Certifications: NIH Stroke Scale, ACLS, BLS Must-Have: Prior travel experience is required. Description: Replacing a team member. Cardiac IMCU/Step Down. Charge responsibility may be required, and appropriate pay differential and training will be provided. Opportunities for up to 20 week-long assignments to maintain adequate staffing during the holiday season. Traveler must work at least one major holiday (Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, or New Year's Day). Work history should explain any gaps over 90 days. Skills checklist and a copy of the nursing license are required. All requested time off must be submitted with the application. Active participation in a teaching culture is expected, especially when interacting with students and new hires. Travelers will float depending on needs. Experience with patient population includes cardiac CIMU acuity level patients. Equipment familiarity is essential: vital signs machine, glucometer, SCDs, bladder scanner, vein finder, remote telemetry, wound vacs, IV pumps, pulse oximeters, chest tubes, tube feeding pumps, and oxygen delivery devices. Client can cancel up to 36 hours prior to assignment due to patient census.
