Snowflake/Python Data Engineer

Kforce's client in Plano, TX that is seeking a highly skilled Snowflake/Python Data Engineer to design, develop, and maintain scalable data solutions that support analytics, reporting, and business intelligence initiatives. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Snowflake, Python, cloud-based data platforms, ETL/ELT development, and data integration. This role will partner closely with business stakeholders, data analysts, architects, and engineering teams to deliver high-quality data pipelines and optimize data performance. Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines using Python and Snowflake
- Build and support ETL/ELT processes for ingesting, transforming, and loading data from multiple sources
- Develop data models, schemas, and solutions to support reporting, analytics, and machine learning initiatives
- Optimize Snowflake performance through query tuning, clustering, partitioning, and warehouse management
- Integrate data from APIs, databases, cloud platforms, and third-party applications
- Implement data quality checks, validation processes, and monitoring solutions
- Collaborate with business and technical teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions
- Support data governance, security, compliance, and access control standards
- Troubleshoot production issues and perform root cause analysis to ensure data reliability
- Document technical designs, workflows, and data architecture standards
- Participate in code reviews and promote engineering best practices
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in Data Engineering or related roles
- Strong hands-on experience with Snowflake Data Cloud
- Advanced proficiency in Python development
- Experience building ETL/ELT frameworks and automating data workflows
- Strong SQL skills with experience optimizing complex queries
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform
- Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and dimensional modeling
- Experience working with large-scale structured and unstructured datasets
- Familiarity with version control systems such as Git
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
