Client Accounting Specialist
The Bookkeeper will play a vital role in supporting the firm's tax, audit, and advisory teams by delivering accurate, timely, and organized bookkeeping services to their clients. This role involves handling payroll processing, tax filings, financial reporting, and client accounting software setup and training. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, self-motivated and able to manage multiple client accounts efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process payrolls, including preparation of tax deposits and liability payments.
- Prepare sales and use tax returns and ensure timely filing.
- Review and reconcile client-maintained books for accuracy and completeness
- Prepare accurate financial statements for clients in various industries
- Perform data entry and routine bookkeeping duties for multiple client accounts
- Prepare and file W-2's, 1099s, and related year-end forms
- Set up and provide client training for accounting software (primarily QuickBooks)
- Assist clients with self-prepared payroll and tax filings, offering guidance as needed
- Handle special client tasks such as unclaimed property filings, business license renewals, etc.
