Scout Motors is seeking a visionary Senior Manager of Vehicle Systems to lead safety-critical cross-module cross-system architecture elements including Functional Safety, Diagnostics, Cyber Security and others spanning embedded hardware, software, controls and connectivity. You will become the subject matter expert (SME) for end-to-end system architecture and will coach Feature Owners across the organization but primarily in Vehicle Control/State, Body, Infotainment and UX/HMI. You will bridge gaps between system development and system execution. As a manager, you will need to develop strong relationships across the organization including software engineers, system engineers, validation teams, and suppliers to ensure robust execution of electrical architecture. The ideal candidate has deep experience delivering mission‑critical, reliability‑constrained systems scaling high‑performing engineering organizations and establishing engineering governance, MBSE frameworks, and digital thread capabilities. This is a highly visible, cross‑functional leadership role with direct impact on product development and architecture execution.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
Become part of an iconic brand that is set to revolutionize the electric pick-up truck & rugged SUV marketplace by achieving the following: * Functional Safety Strategy and Governance: Lead team and enforce process and key performance indicators for FuSa delivery across the vehicle * Feature/Function Requirements Custodian: Act as the primary lead/coach for requirement quality, failure analysis, and process discipline including repository best practices * Serve as System Authority: Govern execution of interfaces architecture, integration readiness across hardware, software, controls and connectivity domains * Constraint Custodian: Recognize system-level constraints (compute, timing, power, performance, reliability) as feature/function requirements develop from customer use cases through decomposition to electronic modules- Mentor: Build, mentor and scale multi-disciplinary system/feature team

Here's what else you'll bring: * Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field with 10+ yrs. of experience * Expert at automotive system/platform development and modeling particularly in the early part of the “System V” * In-depth execution experience in a variety of AI applications and using Cameo / Magic Draw system modeling- Experience delivering platforms reused across multiple Vehicle programs
- Background in autonomous vehicles, robotics, or advanced mobility systems
- Background with cloud-connected embedded systems and modern DevOps pipelines
- Expert in vehicle electrical architecture/topology and ECU-level software
- Familiarity with SW for embedded systems, EE systems and architecture
- Familiarity with A2B, CAN, Automotive Ethernet, LIN, LVDS communication

PAY TRANSPARENCY
This is a full-time, exempt position eligible to receive a base salary and to participate in an annual performance bonus program. Final salary offered will be determined based on factors including but not limited to the candidate's skills and experience. The annual performance bonus program is preset and not candidate dependent.
