Gastroenterology Physician

Healthcare United is seeking a BE/BC Gastroenterologist for a full-time, permanent role we have available in the Greater Chesterton area of Indiana. Join an established Gastroenterology group with a clear balance of clinic and procedural work. RN, MA, scheduling, and NP support complement dedicated call weeks without concurrent clinic duties. H-1B visa transfers are accepted; new H-1B sponsorship and J-1 waivers are not available.

What You Can Expect:

Patient/Case Volume: Approximately 1015 clinic patients or 510 procedures per half-day session

Procedures / Clinical Scope: Gastroenterology procedures; ERCP experience and Hepatology interest desired

Support Staff / Resources: Shared RN team, dedicated MA support, in-house surgery schedulers, a hospital NP for new consultations and rounding ahead of physicians, and a clinic NP; senior physician mentorship

Practice Setting: Clinic and Hospital

Diagnostic and Procedural Resources: BRAVO, PillCam, FibroScan, HD Motility, and EndoFLIP; an advanced endoscopy colleague provides EUS and pancreaticobiliary interventions.

Referrals: Approximately 75100 General GI referrals weekly, with access to comprehensive Oncology services.

Outreach: Regional outreach clinics are required; Virtual Visits may also be available.

Requirements:

MD or DO Board Certified or Board Eligible in Gastroenterology Completed U.S. residency/fellowship training applicable to the specialty Active or eligible Indiana medical license ERCP experience and Hepatology interest desired Board eligibility must be current and meet immediate post-training examination requirements Current CV required No visa sponsorship available Current American Heart Association BLS certification required upon hire
