Job Title

Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical / Telemetry (Neuro)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Full-Time | Onsite | Day Shift (3x12 Hours, 7:00–19:30) | 36 hours per week guaranteed

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Med/Surg Telemetry unit designated as a Certified Stroke Center and Level IV Epilepsy Monitoring Unit (EMU)
• Manage patients with neuro-related diagnoses as well as telemetry overflow populations across varied patient types
• Monitor and interpret telemetry and EKG data as part of ongoing patient assessment
• Rotate every other weekend and holidays as required by unit scheduling
• Float to other units within the facility as needed to support hospital operations, within scope of practice

Required Qualifications

• Valid Maryland or Compact RN license required at time of submission
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required
• Neurology experience required
• Med/Surg Telemetry experience required
• Active BLS and ACLS certifications required
• NIHSS certification required
• Basic EKG competency exam (administered through Prophecy Relias) must be successfully completed prior to orientation

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working in a stroke center or epilepsy monitoring environment
• Comfort working across multiple patient populations and floating to varied units
