NOW HIRING: PROPERTY MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN

Echo Ridge Property Services is seeking a dependable, motivated and solutions-focused Property Maintenance Technician to care for vacation rental cabins throughout Logan and the Hocking Hills area.

No professional maintenance experience is required. We are willing to train the right person who has a strong work ethic, enjoys working with their hands and is genuinely willing to learn.

Position: Property Maintenance Technician
Employment Type: Full-Time or Part-Time, W-2
Pay: $15–$28 per hour, based on skills and experience
Schedule: Primarily daytime hours with rotating weekend, holiday and on-call coverage
Location: Logan and the greater Hocking Hills area

ABOUT THE ROLE

Our maintenance technicians help keep short-term-rental properties safe, functional and guest-ready. This position combines preventive maintenance, property inspections, minor repairs and timely responses to urgent guest or owner needs.

You do not need to know how to perform every task on your first day. We provide training, procedures and support. We are looking for someone who is dependable, safety-conscious, comfortable asking questions and interested in developing practical property-maintenance skills.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Complete assigned maintenance and repair work orders
• Perform routine preventive-maintenance inspections
• Learn to troubleshoot and complete minor plumbing, electrical, carpentry and appliance repairs within your training and authorization
• Repair doors, locks, cabinets, furniture, trim, drywall and other property components
• Replace light bulbs, batteries, HVAC filters and other routine service items
• Assemble, install and secure furniture, décor and guest amenities
• Inspect decks, railings, stairs, walkways and exterior areas for visible safety concerns
• Inspect hot tubs and related equipment and perform authorized routine care after receiving proper training
• Check fireplaces, grills, propane supplies and outdoor amenities for condition and readiness
• Refill or exchange guest-use propane cylinders according to company procedures
• Respond to maintenance concerns discovered during housekeeping turnovers
• Document damage, repairs, parts used and completed work with notes and photographs
• Communicate repair recommendations, safety concerns and contractor needs promptly
• Purchase authorized materials and maintain accurate receipts
• Maintain company tools, equipment, vehicles and supply inventory
• Assist with seasonal property preparation, winterization and weather-related needs
• Support snow and ice response when assigned
• Participate in a rotating after-hours, weekend and holiday on-call schedule after completing the required training
• Interact professionally with guests, clients, vendors and team members
• Recognize when a task is beyond your training or requires a licensed contractor and escalate it appropriately

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

• Valid driver’s license and an acceptable driving record
• Reliable transportation to the assigned reporting location
• Ability to participate in a rotating on-call schedule after completing training
• Ability to respond to assigned urgent calls within the company’s established response area and timeframe
• Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, ladders and maintenance equipment after receiving proper training
• Ability to stand, bend, kneel, climb stairs and work indoors or outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation
• Willingness to complete applicable pre-employment screening
• Willingness to follow company safety procedures, work-order documentation and purchasing-authorization requirements
