Job Summary

Respiratory Therapist Registered, RT PEDS, Ottumwa, Iowa. The respiratory therapist provides assessment, treatment, and management of respiratory care for neonatal, pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients. The role supports high-risk deliveries and the use of invasive and non-invasive respiratory equipment in a collaborative healthcare setting.

Job Details

• Required Qualifications: Current Iowa license in hand at submission; Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) or Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential through the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC); Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certifications; mandatory reporter certification for child and adult abuse; associate degree in respiratory care; 12 years of respiratory therapy experience; neonatal and pediatric experience; Iowa application completed before submission.
• Preferred Qualifications: Pediatric and neonatal respiratory care experience.
• Schedule: Day shift, 6:30 a.m.7:00 p.m., 36 hours per week.
• Additional Information: Responsibilities include patient assessment, implementation of respiratory treatments and therapies, care during high-risk deliveries, management of invasive and non-invasive respiratory equipment, and application of strong critical-thinking and problem-solving skills. Equipment includes V-60, VOCSN, Hamilton, Vapotherm, and Airvo2 systems.
