Maintenance Manager

Maintenance ManagerThe Maintenance manager directs and coordinates activities of workers engaged in repair, maintenance, and installation of machines, tools, and equipment, and in maintenance of buildings, grounds, and utility systems of metals service industrial plant, by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors.Summary of Essential Job Functions/ResponsibilitiesReviews job orders to determine work priorities. Schedules repair, maintenance, and installation of machines, tools, and equipment to ensure continuous production operationsDirectly supervises employees in the maintenance department, by interviewing, hiring, and training employees, planning, assigning, and directing work, appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining employees, addressing complaints and resolving problemsCarries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable lawsCoordinates activities of workers fabricating or modifying machines to manufacture new products or improve existing productsDevelops preventive maintenance program in conjunction with engineering and maintenance staffReviews production, quality control, and maintenance reports and statistics to plan and modify maintenance activitiesInspects operating machines for conformance with operational standardsRequisitions tools, equipment, and supplies required for operationsStrong leadership skillsExcellent organizational skills to prioritize and execute preventative maintenance plans on a daily basisProven ability to take initiative and establish processes and programs while workingAbility to prioritize and meet deadlines within specified time constraintsAbility to adapt in a changing work environmentQualificationsBachelor's degree in industrial or mechanical engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience5+ years of experience in a maintenance management positionExperience in a metals service centers industry preferred480/220 Electric Motor Troubleshooting / installationTrouble shooting pressurized hydraulic pumps / valves / control systemsTroubleshooting PC / CNC / Automated control unitExperience with troubleshooting Metal working equipment preferredEqual Opportunity Employer/Protected Veterans/Individuals with Disabilities This employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
