Director of Virtual and Hybrid School Programs

Qualifications:

Education:
Valid Michigan Teaching Certificate and M.A. in school administration from an accredited university, Administrative Certification or ability to obtain within 1-2 years

Training and Experience:
Five years of successful teaching and/or administrative experience or other related educational experience. Experience with virtual, online, or blended learning environments preferred

Demonstrated Technical Skills:
Planning and organizational skills, knowledge of age-appropriate curriculum, effective writing, and computer literacy skills. Leadership ability in working with students, parents, and staff.

Human Relations Skills:
Ability to communicate effectively and relate positively with students, parents, staff, and other members of the community.

Responsibilities & Duties:

Development and implementation of the WAVE program (grades 6-12)
Systems for student onboarding, mentoring, progress monitoring, and intervention
Program communication, enrollment processes, and family engagement
Ensure high-quality, standards-aligned virtual and hybrid instruction
Monitor student progress, engagement, and course completion
Support and supervise program staff, including mentors and facilitators
Build strong partnerships with families and the broader school community
Oversee program operations, compliance, and reporting requirements
Use data to evaluate program effectiveness and drive continuous improvement
Positive attendance is an essential job function for this position
