Research Associate - FinTech / Business Services

Business Overview Headquartered in New York with international offices in London, Hong Kong, and Tokyo, our Global Equity Research group provides in‑depth sector and macro expertise to identify investment recommendations and emerging industry trends for a range of portfolios and equity products. Through Global Research Strategies, the group also manages assets in‑house to propel core and thematic portfolios addressing cutting‑edge investable concepts. The team employs deep fundamental research, primary research, and analysis of management relationships, and partners with Data Science to corroborate fundamental work. The Global Equity Research team also engages issuers to improve performance and reduce risk. Primary Responsibilities Partner with the Global Research team in idea generation, due diligence on potential investments, and monitoring current positions in the business & information services sector. Communicate regularly with management teams, industry experts, sell‑side analysts, and portfolio‑management teams. Conduct primary research via channel checks, field research, surveys, and other methods. Integrate Data Science support and collaborate with the respective teams. Experience&Skills Qualifications Strong academic credentials. Minimum of 5 years of investment banking, sell‑side or buy‑side research experience in Business & information services. Passion for investing and the markets. Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects and multi‑task while maintaining attention to detail and follow‑through. Proficient in advanced Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel. Strong analytical and presentation skills, with excellent verbal and written communication. Capability to work independently and as part of a team. Hard‑working, motivated, enthusiastic, and personable with strong communication skills. Must provide strong personal and professional references. Curious and intellectually honest with strong commercial instinct and demonstrated interest in equity markets. Enjoys collaborative projects and being part of a team. Neuberger Berman is unable to offer visa sponsorship for this position. Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States without the need for current or future sponsorship. Compensation and Benefits The salary range for this role is $145,000–$195,000. This range is the lowest to highest salary we reasonably believe we would pay for this role at the time of posting. Pay may be modified in the future. This job is also eligible for a discretionary bonus, in addition to base salary and retirement contributions, which are part of our total comprehensive package. We offer a comprehensive package of benefits including paid time off, medical, dental, vision insurance, retirement, life insurance, and other benefits to eligible employees. Note: No amount of pay is considered to be wages or compensation until such amount is earned, vested, and determinable.
