Program Director – Behavioral Support Services Strategies to Empower People is looking to hire a full‑time Program Director for our Behavioral Support Services department.

SCHEDULE AND SALARY

The Program Director for Behavioral Support Services is a salaried‑exempt role, on‑call Monday through Friday and may be responsible for occasional weekend on‑call coverage. Please note that this is NOT a 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. position! The Program Director serves as the last line of supervision for our agency and must be an accessible resource for our clients and employees. The rate of pay ranges from $120,000 to $140,000 annually (depending on experience), plus a one‑time relocation reimbursement up to $2,500 based on distance.

WHAT IS THE JOB?

The Program Director reports to the CEO, providing supervision and direction to a large team in our Behavioral Supported Living program. Responsibilities include: Design, develop, and implement program strategies. Supervise and consult on individual client service coordination, treatment plans, and effective interventions. Develop staff understanding of trauma‑informed care. Ensure clients’ health, safety, and success, as well as staff safety. Work directly with clients who exhibit challenging behaviors such as severe physical aggression, self‑injurious behavior, and property destruction.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Minimum of 2 years experience in the behavioral health field; experience with I/DD population preferred. Minimum of 2 years supervisory experience (staff supervision). Two years of fiscal management experience preferred. Master’s degree in a related discipline. Preferred certifications/licenses: LMFT, LPCC, LCSW, BCBCA (California). Clean driving record, licensed and insured driver.

LOCATION

The position operates out of the Sacramento office at 2330 Glendale Lane, Sacramento, 95825. The Program Director must be on‑site and available to support clients throughout the greater Sacramento area, with occasional travel to Sonoma and Placer counties.
