Electrical Assembly Technician

Join our team as an Electrical Assembly Technician where you will be responsible for performing electrical assembly on generator packages, switchgear, and control panels. You will utilize a variety of hand and power tools, including wire strippers, multimeters, and wire crimpers, and will be expected to read and interpret work instructions and standard operating procedures (SOPs). Your role will involve point-to-point wiring and terminating connections. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to learn manufacturer-specific software for diagnosing engine and control system problems.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical assembly on generator packages, switchgear, and control panels.
• Utilize a variety of hand and power tools such as wire strippers, multimeters, and wire crimpers.
• Read and interpret work instructions and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Conduct point-to-point wiring and terminate connections.
• Learn and use manufacturer-specific software to diagnose engine and control system problems.

Requirements

• 1+ years of experience in point-to-point wiring.
• 1+ years of experience in continuity testing using a multimeter.
• Proficiency with hand and power tools.
• Experience in wire stripping.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in control panel wiring.
• Ability to read and understand schematics.
• Familiarity with wiring PLCs and relays.
• Experience in wiring generators or switchgear.

Work Environment

Work in a climate-controlled manufacturing environment with two shift options: 1st shift from 5:00 AM to 2:30 PM and 2nd shift from 2:00 PM to 12:30 AM. Please note that the facility will be relocating to a new location in the near future.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Houston, TX 77065.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $22.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
