Advanced Practice Provider

Advanced Practice Provider provides inpatient/outpatient management, consultations, and co-management of patients in the acute care and practice setting. Responsibilities include assessing the physical and psychosocial status of patients, developing a diagnosis, formulating and implementing the treatment plan, performing complex diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, prescribing medication, conducting patient education, and participating in quality initiatives. The role also involves supporting IRB approved clinical research/trials and maintaining compliance with Orlando Health policies.

Qualifications include a Nurse Practitioner MN or MSN or DNP or PhD or DNS degree in nursing, APRN license in the state of Florida, and current BLS certification. For Physician Assistants, a graduate of an accredited physician assistant program, current licensure in the State of Florida, and current BLS/healthcare certification are required. Primary care experience is preferred.
