We are looking for an experienced Controller to support a construction-focused organization in Daytona Beach, Florida. This Long-term Contract position is ideal for a finance leader with deep expertise in mergers and acquisitions, including full-cycle accounting tied to acquisition activity and net working capital analysis. The role will partner closely with leadership to evaluate transactions, maintain financial accuracy, and strengthen reporting across complex deal-related processes.

Responsibilities:
• Lead end-to-end accounting activities related to acquisitions, from initial financial review through post-close reporting and reconciliation.
• Manage analyses of net working capital and other key transaction metrics to support informed decision-making during deal execution.
• Prepare, organize, and maintain financial records, supporting documentation, and transaction files to ensure completeness and audit readiness.
• Review and compile acquisition-related documents, including scanned records and controlled files, to support accurate reporting and due diligence.
• Oversee accounting treatments for purchase transactions, ensuring compliance with applicable standards and internal reporting requirements.
• Partner with executive and operational stakeholders to assess financial impacts, identify risks, and support integration planning tied to acquired entities.
• Monitor account reconciliations, journal entries, and balance sheet activity associated with M& A transactions and related close processes.
• Support process improvements and documentation efforts connected to acquisition accounting workflows and financial controls.• Strong Controller-level experience within accounting and finance, preferably in the construction or contractor industry.
• Demonstrated success handling full-cycle accounting for mergers and acquisitions, including pre-close and post-close financial activities.
• Solid understanding of net working capital concepts and their application in transaction environments.
• Experience organizing, reviewing, and maintaining high volumes of financial and transactional documentation with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to compile, scan, and control supporting documents for due diligence, audit support, and accounting records.
• Proficiency in financial reporting, reconciliations, and month-end close activities related to complex transactions.
• Strong analytical, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills in fast-paced business environments.
